Johan Reinhold unveils stunning artwork and tracklisting to Shoot Me Down Remix EP
Brand New ‘Shoot Me Down’ Remix EP – Released January 20th 2012
Johan Reinhold keeps navigating and wowing multiple creative fields with the release of the self composed artwork for his new remix EP Shoot Me Down Remix EP, proving that Johan is not only a first class musician that is taking the globe by storm, but he’s also a hugely talented designer demonstrating great attention to finite detail that’s apparent in both his design work and his music; Johan’s work is nothing short of spectacular.
The world of design is not an unfamiliar place for Johan Reinhold, who’s responsible for an award winning website that is the most impressive band website that has ever graced the internet highway. Information about Johan and his music subtly floats across the screen, wrapped in gentle, soothing pastels. Bird imagery offers strong symbolism and is a quirky thematic object that appears throughout the site. The artwork Johan has crafted always provoking wonder about its story.
Keeping with the idea that this EP is re-works of an existing work, Johan reworked the original ‘Shoot Me Down’ artwork and gave it a re-mix itself. The new version which can be seen above shows the same dead bird but this time in an almost x-rayed state. The Grammy nominated artist has championed design and music as an art form, where he laces his tracks with the same intricate and delicate detail he does with his artwork, which bodes me to ask… “is there anything this man can’t do?”
The Shoot Me Down Remix EP is available for free download everywhere on January 20th, 2012 and features amazing re-mixes by the likes of The Kill Van Kulls, Owsey and Frnknstyn which offers the listener everything from chill-out to dubstep.

THE KILL VAN KULLS
Manchester’s The Kill Van Kulls are a newly formed electronic-pop band with a cinematic edge. Their influences range from John Hughes soundtracks to Cut Copy and Phoenix. The band released two singles in 2011 – Fools Wish and Lost & Found – on their own label, and are currently preparing their debut album. Live dates have included Reading/Leeds Festival, and support slots with The Naked & Famous, Airborne Toxic Event and Mona. They have also completed remixes for Kyla La Grange, Icona Pop and MAY68 which can be streamed from www.thekillvankulls.com
OWSEY
Owsey, living in Northern Ireland is a DJ/ producer known carry an atmospheric trait. In the past, he have been known to collaborate with Sorrow under the “Sweetheart of Kairi” alias. Currently collaborating with CoMa, Stumbleine and Shura. However Owsey’s remix projects seem to be some of his more popular material, most notably his remixes for Birdy.
FRNKNSTYN
Just 20 year old this wonderkid is already making a name for himself within the Dubstep circuit. Frnknstyn, a DJ/ musician from Auckland, New Zealand with plenty of remixes and original work under his belt. Despite being so young it is safe to say that Frnknstyns future is looking more than bright.
