Gwen Stefani, Santigold, Kelly Clarkson … yes, I’m a sucker for a good, straight-ahead pop song. When you consider that Alex Kelly hooked up in the band Amungus with Robby Takac (of Goo Goo Dolls) for three years, it’s hard not to hear the influence of that pairing in “Orange Circle“, her newest solo single. The song, and album of same title, earns a launch party at Bowery Electric on June 25th, so go check her out and let me know if her live show unfolds as well as this song tells me it will.
