Kartica are a five-piece indie/rock band from Sheffield. Formed in May 2008, they have steadily been building their following and reputation in their home city and beyond.
A band that convey emotion, frustration, hope and belief. Blending a mix of driving guitars and heavy drum-beats with dreamy riffs and anthemic melodies, Kartica achieve a roaring sound with echoes of Oasis, The Verve, Ocean Colour Scene and The Stone Roses amongst others. Written with meaning and soul, Kartica have a range of songs that stretch from the menacing to the heart-rending.
In late March the band released their first single Don’t You Think So? and secured support slots with ex-Little Man Tate front-man Jon Windle, and breaking band All The Young.
