Kryophere

BIOGRAPHY:

Kryophere are an eclectic, original metal band based in Cardiff, their debut album ‘Hiraeth’ which was produced by Chris “MUG5” Maguire is available through AltSounds records. They’ve always approached their music with a ‘no rules’ mentality and the result is a dynamic, 10 track offering which, while keeping it’s tongue firmly in its cheek, is technical, brutally heavy, and thoughtfully melodic.

Their influences include but are not limited to; Pantera, Decapitated, SiKth, Strapping Young Lad and Meshuggah and the band continues to evolve, incorporating new elements into their songs to develop a more layered, mature sound. Kryophere describe themselves as a ‘futurist’ band, always prepared to embrace new ideas and technology in their song writing, live act and recordings in an effort to develop a new, exciting angle on an ever growing and competitive UK scene. With over 100 shows under their belt, they’ve had the pleasure of sharing a stage with many bands over the years including; Abigail Williams, Viatrophy, Romeo Must Die, Raging Speedhorn, Desecration, Traces, Shaped By Fate, Aborted, Send More Paramedics and many more. They will be touring throughout Britain and beyond from Februrary 2011 onwards and, as would be expected from a seven piece extreme metal band, the live show is absolutely wild, described in one review as ‘more destructive than Hitlers tour of Europe’.
